Forgiveness. Reconciliation.
Peace. Transformation.

Promoting peace through forgiveness, reconciliation, and human dignity — building sustainable peace in communities affected by conflict.

Who We Are

About IPF

The International Pardon Foundation is a peacebuilding and humanitarian organization committed to promoting peace, forgiveness, reconciliation, social cohesion, conflict transformation, and human dignity.

IPF believes that sustainable peace is not achieved through political agreements alone. Lasting peace requires communities and individuals affected by conflict to have opportunities to heal, forgive, reconcile, rebuild trust, and participate meaningfully in creating a peaceful society.

The Foundation works with communities, leaders, civil society organizations, young people, women, faith leaders, displaced populations, and other stakeholders to encourage peaceful dialogue and non-violent approaches to resolving conflicts.

IPF's approach places forgiveness and reconciliation at the center of peacebuilding, while recognizing the importance of justice, accountability, human rights, inclusion, and respect for the dignity of every person.

Our Principles

Guiding Values

IPF is guided by the following principles in all its work.

P

Peace

We believe disputes can be resolved without violence.

F

Forgiveness

We promote forgiveness as a pathway toward healing and reconciliation.

D

Human Dignity

Every person deserves respect, regardless of background or status.

J

Justice & Accountability

Sustainable reconciliation should respect legitimate concerns for justice and responsibility.

U

Unity

We promote cooperation across ethnic, political, religious, regional, and social divisions.

I

Inclusiveness

Women, youth, vulnerable groups, and affected communities should have meaningful voices in peacebuilding.

N

Integrity

We promote transparency, accountability, professionalism, and ethical conduct.

V

Non-Violence

We reject violence as a means of resolving social and political differences.

Peace begins with the individual, grows through the community, and becomes sustainable when it is supported by responsible leadership and inclusive institutions.

— IPF Organizational Philosophy

Forgiveness does not mean forgetting the past. Rather, it can provide a pathway for individuals and communities to confront painful histories, restore relationships, rebuild trust, and create a different future.
